Students Boarding House and Rental Subsidy

A program to address common problem with students coming from a remote area (GIDA), with Financial constraints and for security and safety concern.

GAITF is the only School in Region IX that provides Boarding House Subsidy Program to address the concern of students coming from Geographically Isolated and Displace Areas (GIDA) who are marginalized sector of the community, the Indigent and the Indigenous People.  This program also include students coming from critical barangays in the community.

GAITF CheckMySchool ANSA-EAP Program

Working closely with DepEd and other relevant government offices in the resolution of school issues, while capacitating citizens to engage government offices in dialogue and collaborative problem solving.

​GAITF Executive Director Edgar N. Alegre designate  GAITF CMS Officer to work for the CheckMySchool Program through the initiative of the Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in East Asia and the Pacific (ANSA—EAP) and the Department of Education (DepEd). CMS works closely with DepEd and other relevant government offices in the resolution of school issues, while capacitating citizens to engage government offices in dialogue and collaborative problem solving.

GAITF BUB Monitoring & Evaluation Program

GAITF extended it’s resources and manpower for Social Accountability in monitoring BUB Projects in Zamboanga Sibugay.

GAITF Feeding Program

Kamay ko, kaagapay ninyo tungo sa malusog na katawan at talas ng Isipan!

The Global Academy Institute of Technology Foundation, Inc. has been true to its Mission which is to help and serve others and to deliver and share the resources it has to the needy such that a feeding program has been launched that lightens the faces of the little children and put up a smile on their faces. Other than that, parlor games, film showing and informational activities such as Rhyming, Phonetic exercises, motivates the young children to have a better outlook in life. The event’s theme, “Kamay ko, kaagapay ninyo tungo sa malusog na katawan at talas ng Isipan.”

Child Protection Program

GAITF join the fight in Protecting  Filipino Children's Right.  Child protection is the protection of children from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect

This policy assists staff to respond appropriately where there is a concern for a child'swellbeing or a disclosure of abuse.

Everyone in the education service plays a part in keeping children and young people safe from harm and abuse. Creating a safe learning environment, identifying pupils who are suffering or at risk of harm and then taking suitable action, are vital to making sure that children are safe at home and at school.

   

Special Program for Indigenous Peoples (IPs)

GAITF is supporting on Indigenous rights and those rights that exist in recognition of the specific condition of the indigenous peoples.

In response to these challenges, the Philippine government has passed the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997, which affirms Indigenous Peoples’ rights to ancestral domains, self-governance and empowerment, social justice and human rights, and rights to cultural identity. Ten years later, in 2007, the UN General Assembly adopted the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), which provides a framework for the survival, dignity, well-being and rights of the world’s Indigenous Peoples, and strengthens their rights to identity, education, health, employment and language, amongst others. More recently, the United Nations adopted Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, which also include the rights and well-being of Indigenous Peoples.
